Davis Keillor-Dunn to Sheffield Wednesday: The Latest

Sheffield Wednesday are expected to wrap up a loan deal for Davis Keillor-Dunn after a delay in his switch from Wrexham.

The Wednesday Word broke the story earlier this week that the 28-year-old was a last-gasp target for the Owls before the close of play on transfer deadline day, and he then headed over to Sheffield to undergo a medical before completing his move.

It was always expected that DKD would finalise his loan after all the paperwork was submitted in time to do so, however a lengthy delay followed, which means we’re still without official confirmation two days later.

While there has been no word on exactly why the delay has taken place, it could be down to the fact that the move actually requires international clearance given that it’s a transfer from the FAW to the FA in terms of his registration.

Now, however, TWW is of the understanding that things have got to the point where they can move forward, and it’s expected that Keillor-Dun will finally become an Owl ahead of this weekend’s trip to Peterborough United in their latest League One outing.

While the extent of Louie Barry’s injury is not yet known, it seems likely that he’ll miss the Peterborough clash at the very least, so having another attacker through the door who can act as a replacement of sorts will certainly be welcomed.
