In Focus - Will Grainger: The Welsh whizkid of Sheffield Wednesday
It’s been a decade since a seven-year-old Will Grainger first walked through the doors at Sheffield Wednesday.
The other side of the city, Sheffield United, had him on their books, and - despite his age - the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Derby County were also sniffing around. He’d started at Doncaster Rovers at six, and it wasn’t long until he started turning a few heads.

They might not be aware, for instance, that he once scored 120 goals for Anston Rangers when he was still playing at grassroots level.
