There are plenty of differences between England’s second and third tiers when it comes to quality, style of football and the finances involved, but there are also rule changes that Wednesday need to make sure that they adhere to after dropping down a division.

Squad limits, substitution numbers and Elite Significant Contribution (ESC) spots will all be different now as the Owls seek a speedy return to the Championship, and they all have to be considered as Wednesday put together their squad for the season ahead.
