How much Sheffield Wednesday could get from FIFA as Owls left out of World Cup list
Sheffield Wednesday technically won’t have a player at the World Cup this summer, but are set for a substantial payday from FIFA.
Owls defender, Yan Valery, will become the first player contracted to Wednesday since 1994 to play in the global showpiece when Tunisia go into battle this month – but he’s down on official squad lists as a BSC Young Boys player due to his current loan spell that ends on June 30th. Should the North Africans reach the knockouts, only then will he be registered with Wednesday again.
