We may only be a couple of weeks into the 2026/27 campaign, but the Owls already have plenty on their plate when it comes to injuries, and today it was confirmed that Sil Swinkels is the latest to be sidelined.
Di’Shon Bernard is making progress but is still some way off returning to action, but there was good news with Harry Gray after it was confirmed that he hadn’t broken his nose against Wolverhampton Wanderers - meaning that he’s in contention for this weekend.
Ricardo Santos and Billy Mitchell are also in good shape, it would appear, and while the likes of Liam Cooper and Callum Slattery should be back after sitting out the Wolves defeat.
Here’s an injury wrap-up before the Ravens come to town:
Sil Swinkels
Sil Swinkels will be out for 3-4 weeks. He has been very strong and has tactically improved a lot but we will be without him for a few weeks.
Sean Fusire
Sean is getting stronger, he is training well and we will see him back soon.
Jordi Liongola
Pedersen told The Star earlier in the week, “He will be out for more weeks. He's very disappointed. He has done a really good pre-season. He's a power player. He can play as a right winger. He can also play the right back. We have to keep him fit and get him fit again so he can come back.”
The Opponents
As for the visitors, remain without their first-choice goalkeeper, Grant Smith, while key man Ashley Charles has unfortunately been ruled out for the season after picking up an injury against Reading. It’s unknown as of yet if they have any fresh concerns.
