But while plenty will miss out, there was some good news for the Owls before they make the short trip to Doncaster, with the suggestion that several players are on the brink of making their return for Wednesday.

The big news of course, was on Di’Shon Bernard after he gave everybody a scare as he limped off against Notts County, but there’s positive news on that front. Henrik Pedersen has also seemed to suggest that Sil Swinkels could play some part in this weekend’s encounter.
Liam Cooper is potentially a doubt for tomorrow but has not been ruled out, while Jamal Lowe has trained well this week after seeming to injure himself in his red card offence in midweek - he’s obviously suspended for three games.
Here’s all the injury news from Pedersen today:
Di’Shon Bernard
“With Dish we hope and believe he can train next week again. The news is positive. There was concern in the whole squad, he was back and playing well so it was a sad moment… But we are happy there is nothing bad and we expect him on the pitch next week."
Louie Barry
Barry is back in training but Henrik Pedersen doesn't expect him to be ready until after the next international break.
"Louie has trained really well and did some finishing today too, so it is going in the right direction for him.”
Joe Lumley
Still out with a rib injury, ‘still not training’.
Sil Swinkels
Swinkels has trained the whole week.
Jordi Liongola
The wide man has now returned to full training and could soon return to action. Training with ‘full power’.
Ricardo Santos
Santos won't be involved at Doncaster but he's back in training.
George Brown
Brown has stepped up his recovery from injury: "George has been part of the sessions too this week which is positive news, but it is still too early for him to play games.."
The opposition
It’s been confirmed that both Jamie Sterry and Jack Senior will be back in the mix when Wednesday come to town, while Jordan Thomas and Tommi O’Reilly are available again after recovering from a bout of illness. Josh Clarke had to have an injection in his finger, but will be ‘fine’ according to Grant McCann.
The game will come too soon for James Husband and Tom Nixon, though, while James Collins is still recovering from an ACL injury.
