Loved that Joe , What a great interview with Jim ,I was at that Final 💙 and he described the day perfectly it was a disappointing end but what a great day ,I had the pleasure of speaking to Jim & his wife when he did his book launch in Sheffield ,what a lovely couple 👍
I was 17 at the time and still can't believe we lost. Once we went 2-0 up I thought we were destined to win. Someone had supposedly predicted that the winning team that year would play all their games away from home, which we did, so when we went 2 up I was super confident. Little did I know.
🫡 2-0 up and coasting Trebilcock double did us ,I think he went to Plymouth the next season ,that was his last game for them 🤷♂️ Poor old Gerry Young covering for a young Sam Ellis slipped up for the winner his only mistake in the game . Great day out though 💙👍
