Nicole Shaw did what number nines are meant to do as she led the line for Sheffield Wednesday Ladies this season… No player scored more than the young Wednesdayite.

Shaw is only 20, and has a bright future ahead of her. This season her 11 goals and three assists across all competitions had her tied with Amy Broomhead for total G/A, and the Penistone local had a big role to play in the Owlesses’ fifth-place finish.

Coming from a family of Wednesday fans, the attacker is relishing the opportunity to play in blue and white. And her family are enjoying it, too.
