The duo are up for the League One Manager and Player of the Month awards, and deservedly so after playing their part in Wednesday’s climb to the summit of the table.

Pedersen, should he win, would become only the fourth Owls boss to win the award, and the first since Dave Jones back in March and April 2012… Paul Sturrock (November 2004) and Alan Irvine (August 2010) were the others.
The EFL said of the Wednesday manager, “Pedersen was a steadying presence in the Wednesday dugout during their turbulent Championship season. That has helped him to turn around a losing habit into winning two of their first three games, including a thrilling 7-2 victory over Bromley.”
Lowe, meanwhile, is aiming to become the eighth Owl to win the award after Giles Coke (August 2010), Neil Mellor (April 2011), Ryan Lowe (August 2011), Miguel Llera (April 2012), Barry Bannan (March 2022), Lee Gregory (April 2022) and Liam Palmer (August 2022). He’s up against Bradford’s Matt Pennington, Joe Taylor of Huddersfield Town and ex-Owl, Bailey Peacock-Farrell at Blackpool.
Speaking of the forward, the League said, “Lowe has emerged from last season’s difficult campaign at Hillsborough eager to push Wednesday forward. Whether as the lone striker or from a position on the right, his positive runs brought him three goals and an assist in three games.”
