With Davis Keillor-Dunn coming in as signing number 18, completing the set for the Owls, Wilson hasn’t really had much time to settle into his new role as Sporting Director of the club. He estimates that, including the club exits and the U21 deals, there have been around 40 that he’s had to work on… That’s almost one every three days.
They’re not completely finished in the market, with the potential of further loan outgoings such as Devlan Moses’ move to Buxton on loan, but the closure of the transfer window does close what has been a hectic opening chapter.
Speaking to The Wednesday Word on Thursday, Wilson opened up about what comes next for him, and the changes in organisation and structure that he - alongside Arise - hope to bring in going forward.
