New faces and a bit of bite: Sheffield Wednesday stumble vs Stoke City in Vienna
Sheffield Wednesday were beaten by Stoke City in Austria on Saturday afternoon, but an it's important to remember that the final score didn't really matter.
Bannan was weaving,
Shouting blokes, more minutes it brings,
The rhythm is calling,
Seestadt is a sight as the daylight brings,
A new empty stadium,
The warmth in the stands and a clear blue sky,
50 lads go the distance…
The image is one, through Pedersen’s eye,
It means nothing to me,
This result means nothing to me,
Oh, Vienna.
It’s hard not to have Ultravox running through your head when you’re in the Austrian capital, and that was certainly the case as we sat through 140 minutes of football at the OFB Campus this afternoon.
There’s certainly no need for panic as Henrik Pedersen tries out his different options, but what was glaringly apparent, however, is the need for more bodies through the door at Hillsborough.
