Davis Keillor-Dunn got the ball rolling for the Owls in what proved to be Matt Hamshaw’s final game as interim manager, but a late strike from former Wednesday striker, Jerry Yates, made sure that the spoils were shared.

Dave Challinor was watching on with a notebook as he looks ahead to his first game in the dugout as the new manager of the club, and he’ll have been pleased with some of the things that he saw in his trip to Hillsborough.

Things changed after Sil Swinkels’ red card of course, with that moment coming at a time when the hosts were in the ascendancy, but Hamshaw’s men battled it out with 10 men and were very close to sealing all three points.

As always, we’re here to look at some of the numbers behind the result, and you can do an even deeper dive by checking out TWW Stats yourself.
