It's all systems go at Sheffield Wednesday as the 2026/27 season draws closer.

It’s now just a few days until the Owls’ first competitive game of the campaign, and not long until their League One campaign gets underway either. There’s also the small matter of a transfer window ending in a few weeks’ time.

The friendly encounters recently were another showcase of the work that needs to be done on the recruitment front for Wednesday, and it’s known that they’re still chasing four or five new arrivals before the window slams shut.
