The weekend couldn’t have been much better from a Wednesday perspective!
Henrik Pedersen’s men thumped AFC Wimbledon 5-0, Wednesday Ladies did the same against Parkgate, and there were Beres sausage rolls back at Hillsborough as well.
Elsewhere, the U21s secured a 3-1 win over Swallownest in the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA Cup, with Sam Duruh and Fortune Onoh getting on the scoresheet either side of an own goal by the hosts. The U18s, meanwhile, were subject to an odd postponement after their game against Fleetwood Town was called off due to a lack of paramedics.
The Wednesday Warehouse - run by Luke Earnshaw - got to show off some of his remarkable Owls nostalgia in Hirsty’s Social, and another big crowd against the Dons meant that 30k+ fans had turned out for six consecutive league games at Hillsborough for the first time since 1991.
Welcome to Sheffield Wednesday Mondays!
We’ve had a busy week at TWW, too, with loads of stuff for you to work your way through here on the website.
We had some quotes from Benito Carbone on his decision to leave Inter Milan for Wednesday - 30 years after he made the move. There was also an update on the state of play amongst the club’s centre backs, with contract talks having stalled with Ernie Weaver.
The Trust’s James Silverwood has been asked to join the Board as a non-executive director, and there was an interview with American full-back, Giovanna Petruccelli, as she looks to make a name for herself with SWLFC.
We spoke to Henrik Pedersen about Dalton Smith’s visit, and got his views on the Weaver situation as well. That was all before the Owls put five past the visitors to climb up the League One table.
And lastly, we had a chat with Davis Keillor-Dunn after his star turn at S6, with the attacker giving some insight into his future ahead of the expiration of his loan in January. You can check that out below:

Restored to the starting line-up AFC Wimbledon, the versatile forward delivered a man-of-the-match display as Henrik Pedersen’s side cruised to a 5-0 win in front of over 30,000 fans at Hillsborough.
And that’s that for this Sheffield Wednesday Mondays! We’ll be doing a new one every week to make sure you can see our best work, and if you want to uncheck the other sections, then feel free to do so…
