Wednesday put the Dons to the sword at Hillsborough on Saturday afternoon, scoring three goals in a seven-minute blitz towards the end of the first half before wrapping things up in the second. Barry Bannan, Davis Keillor-Dunn (x2), Harry Gray and Callum Slattery got the goals.
As you might imagine, Henrik Pedersen and Johnnie Jackson were in very different moods after the final whistle, with the former delighted with what he saw from his side, and the latter left ‘embarrassed’.
Here’s some of what the two of them had to say…

Henrik Pedersen
“We spoke a lot this week about how we can start a game like we finished in Huddersfield, and how we started the game through our pressing, through our quick transition, but also through our offensive mindset when we had the ball. We had so many deep runs, we had so many balls behind.
"The first 25 minutes was really, really strong, then we had eight or nine minutes, or maybe ten, where we ran after the ball, but we were solid and didn't create something. Then we came back again at the end of the first half. How we played the second half, I think it was very controlled.
“As I said to the boys, after four and five minutes, the hunger to keep up the intensity, the hunger to keep up the discipline, the hunger to finish this game strongly, it was amazing.”
Johnnie Jackson
"We got what we deserved, which is nothing. I think it was really, really poor performance. Our fifth season here and to be honest, perhaps one of the only times where I'm stood here embarrassed by what the team has served up today…
“When I put a team out there, they reflect what we’re all about. Since I’ve been here, we’ve done that, but today we didn’t. I don’t think I’ve had to stand here and apologise to supporters before now, but I feel like today we owe them an apology.
“Not because we lost, but in the manner in which we lost and the way that we sort of capitulated really. We just gave the game up. With 35 minutes on the clock I look around and there’s 30,000 people in here and you can’t hear anything because we’ve kept them quiet. We were in the game, we were comfortable and went in 3-0 down because we conceded a goal and then we just absolutely fell apart. I have to confront that. It’s not what I want to see from my football team.”
