David has come with his wife, Angie, to whom he’s been married for 54 years. They’re both lifelong Wednesdayites, and are delighted to see what’s happening to the club under the ownership of David Storch. The American has shown more respect to Owls legends in the last few months than Dejphon Chansiri did in 10 years.
“It’s been brilliant, really marvellous,” he tells The Wednesday Word. “I think it’s been a good thing for all of us, because at times before some of the older lads couldn’t afford to go to the matches – and they wouldn’t give them a ticket. We had a box, so could take some of them, but they’d feel uncomfortable, because they didn’t feel like they were wanted. They just didn’t bother with them.
