Really sad for him, a lovely guy who gave it his all, clearly loves the club and city, and stuck with us and kept the lads’ heads up during our lowest point. Hope in time we can remember him fondly for that and his tears of happiness in the tunnel when he found out we’d have no points deduction. We should always be grateful to him and I hope he’ll always feel welcome at Hillsborough in future. Think this had to happen though, we couldn’t carry on the way we were. Interested to see what happens next. Don’t get the Challinor obsession and not a fan of the way he’s been pimping himself out for the job when HP was still in the role - not a good look IMO. Would like to think we can do better than him given everything we’ve got going for us with Storch and the gang now. Onwards and upwards.
A lot of the same people defending Pederson are the same ones who defended Chansiri right until the end and shot down those of us who saw what needed to be done way before the rest! Performances simply haven’t been good enough, no style of play whatsoever right from the start of pre season until now! This is the correct decision 🦉
Well , I did really enjoy watching our style of play in the 10 games of this season , albeit on too few occasions and felt something was emerging , but I guess it just wasn’t often enough or consistent enough.
Equally we have played some really horrible football in the period since Barry’s injury (Wimbledon, last Saturday, excepted )
In the scheme of things, I can see why he’s gone , but I was hoping he could turn things around , as the season progressed. Onward and Upwards.
He certainly deserved better than listening to “sacked in the morning” like he was a piece of meat.
Not sure Chansiri deserved the same
sympathy or level of understanding?
(BTW, I hoped that he would be removed and felt the coming new Football regulator would be the environment which would help that certainty happen.
As it turned out fan pressure was key to prevailing precipitation. I underestimated the absolute power of that)
I just worry .. (too much probably) how this could continue further in our game particularly at our Club, and we get to a situation where a player gets hounded, a manager gets a game by game level of support , and it’s knee jerk management so as not to upset the fans .
It’s not just about being “first to call it “ , though mate”.
Fans are key and I go home and away when I can . Ours are second to none. We are fans at the end of the day.
Best of luck to the new guy. He will also get my full support as he works on a rebuild.
Hope he gets the time. A lot of work has been done since August already to help him.
Right decision, right time. Another indicator we have the right people in charge if we needed one. Would have loved him to have stayed on as a coach but I guess that's not how things work and was probably not attainable or realistic.

Well … you could certainly see it coming. An unstoppable tide.
I wonder how long the next one gets?

He was head coach.
I'm sad, but I think probably will prove the right decision.
Any idea when Challinor is available?
Sad but needed 🦉🦉🦉
