It’s been another week at Wednesday, and there’s been plenty going on… There’ve been lots of international call-ups for the Owls at various levels, and it’s led to their game against Cambridge United being called off as well as the Stevenage one.
Another sold-out away end awaits as SWFC take on Salford City in the EFL Trophy tonight, and the club have announced Howard Wilkinson OBE, Lord David Blunkett and Clive Betts as Lifetime Presidents.
Elsewhere, there’s been another exit from the club’s academy setup as Jack Newbury departs his role as Head of Academy Sport Science, and Daniel Da Costa has found a new club after being released by the Owls over the summer - he’s joined Leixoes in Portugal.

Harkes, who became a fan favourite at S6 during the early 1990s, was present for the Owls’ curtain-raiser against Bradford City, reuniting with the likes of David Hirst and Chris Waddle as Arise continue to honour Wednesday players of the past.
We obviously had plenty of reaction from the 0-0 draw with Stockport County, including our regular Manager’s Corner feature, and an update from Henrik Pedersen on Ali Al-Hamadi after he missed out.

The former Owls striker has tracked the young winger’s rise closely at Liverpool, watching him progress through the age groups and emerge as one of the standout talents in the academy.
Finally, there was some progression in the FA Cup for Owls youngsters, Devlan Moses, Logan Stretch and Joe Emery as they turned out for Buxton and South Shields, with Moses scoring his side’s winner - watch it here:
